Hey Everyone!
So if you talked to me last year, you'd think I'd have stayed in Cuba this summer, but luckily for me I got a job! I am working at Highland Hospital, the county hospital for Alameda county located in Oakland. I'm doing an outpatient observership in various specialty clinics in the Alameda County Medical Center network and it's really been amazing! I'm learning lots about how medicine aimed at the underserved is practiced in the US and preparing myself for my board exams to come. I'm also meeting lots of new doctors, students and health care professionals who will are excited about helping us come back to the US to fulfill our dreams of being great doctors and giving back to our communities.
